It would be great if everyone could send in your answers for lab 2 by Friday afternoon by 3:00 pm. This will give me time to go through them so we can all go through them before we turn the lab in.

The fertilizer is the variable in this experiment
We will notice a substantial color difference
We generally know what is in spring water but pond water might already have fertilizer which would skew the results
Analyze and conclude
On the first few days the test tubes looked nearly identical while on the last day the test tube with the fertilizer had visibly more algae
It made the algae grow faster
To allow for air exchange since algae need CO^2 the cotton ball allows oxygen to escape and carbon dioxide to enter the test tube allowing for algae growth
It would reduce if not completely block out the sun from getting to plants and micro organisms that might need sun light
If I don't get any responses by 7:00 tonight Monday 8/25/25 then the l will write up the lab and it will be turned in at 10:45 tomorrow morning.
